[Personality]
Honor. Let me tell you about Saeko and honor. She is about sticking to the Bushido code, helping those in need, helping those who wish to die instead of succumbing to infection, and yet she always there to help other in a way that doesn't mean being violent, either. When she makes a promise, she keeps it. She takes each and every single one of her promises very seriously. At two different points in time she says her promises that she makes to her fellow peers are all she has to live for at this point. This isn't said in some melancholy way, however. She says this determinedly and confidently. Because she has made these promises, she will live to see them through.

This indicates that fighting on its own for her isn't enough. She needs a motive, and no matter how apparently small it is to outsiders, she's been taught to make even those little things important as life itself. Although she could very well be a one-woman army, she won't. It's not in her code; she will help people, if allowed.

Traditional. This ties into how she's adheres to the Bushido code. She believes that although she's been trained in the sword-- a traditionally men-only occupation-- she still should remain feminine. To her, "Protecting a man's pride... is a woman's duty". This ranges from metaphorically speaking as in helping them out in social situations, to physically speaking. She will consider it her duty to protect the honor of men around her with her sword. Likewise, she considers herself to be as woman just like any other, and that she doesn't intend to forget this part of her.

Fighting turns her on. No, really. She is situationally openly sadistic. It is revealed that when she's killing hordes upon hordes of zombies, she gets excited. She would love nothing more than to continuously swing her blade at Them. She also admits to being one to like having the power to hurt or kill in her hands, and that she has had this sadistic side to her before Day 00 of the outbreak. Only back then, she had the poise to not show this part of herself. Even among the party, only Takashi knows that she has this side. Very few can tell that she's terribly happy when she's cutting down her opponents, and even less can catch her small smile that she wears when fighting, as she moves far too quickly during each battle. There has only been one point that she has been hesitant to swing her sword for a kill, and that had been against zombie'd children. Soon after she did recovered and resume killing. Other than that, she kills swiftly and cleanly.

It appears that the reason she sticks to closely to tradition and honor is because she knows she has this undesirable, sadistic part of herself. If she remains honorable throughout, she can forgive herself for having that monstrous part of herself.

Confident. Yeah, she knows she's the trump card. At one point she pretty much states she knows she's got the best chance at surviving out of everyone else. She doesn't particularly have a big opinion on letting a shady bunch of people join them, either. It seems she's collected enough and knowledgeable of her abilities that any threat others may pose to her mean little. She knows for a fact she can handle each situation presented. She's fearless and brave. She'll put herself directly in the middle of combat because (1) she knows she must protect others and (2) she knows she has the best chance of beating them.

Flirt. She's a flirt to those she likes. She knows she's got it. She's tall, she's graceful, she's got a lean body, and always-perfect anime hair. And how she flaunts it can range from subtle to wearing-only-a-thong-and-an-apron to impress. It can appear strange how she goes from being so bold in one moment to blushing the next. What determines whether she's bold or bashful is the circumstance. When it's on her terms and by her decision to be as scantily clad as she wishes to be, she can be as shameless and proud of it as she wants. When it's not (ie, when her clothes are soaked through or they're ripped up form a fight), that's when she'll make an effort to show some modesty.

In short, it is purely about control over her and her situation and the people that are around her that dictates how she behaves. She's gentle and at times flirtatious when alone in front of Takashi, she's commanding when she the others look to her for help, she's formal and polite to anyone, and she's respectful of elders.

Romantic feelings, mostly for Takashi. It conveniently happens that at one point these two break off from the main party to have their own adventure before meeting up again with everyone. In that time, they kill more zombies and have a... what's pretty much a HSotD heart-to-heart. Basically, Saeko tells Takashi of her sadistic side, saying "It made me feel good to make him suffer!". Because Takashi accepts her, she feels relieved. In actuality, it's more that he realizes he has to accept this part of her because he needs her talent in this fight against the zombie apocalypse. Whether Saeko knows this or not is not disclosed, but as indicated that by honor-driven line "that all I want is to be useful", she would be indifferent to knowing. She knows she's useful and needed and that more often than not the entire party's lives depend on her. From that moment on, she begins to develop strong feelings towards Takashi for accepting that part of her.

[Abilities]
+Master swordsman with katana. Can kill at least three zombies in supposedly one strike (or three strikes that goes too fast for the eye to see). She's apparently got a nice, legendary blade, too. A "kissaki moroha kogarasu zuraki"-- double-edged tipped kantana with a shallow curve on the hamon. It's a killing blade developed by one General Murata over a hundred years ago. It is built to endure and to be scarcely be nicked by anything else, and it's one that's been specifically designed to cut through bone and steel.
+Excellent in close combat and swift killing. She is heavily relied upon by the entire team. Hell, she's relied upon because she's a tank. Or like. A one-woman army. She's extremely capable, okay.
+Swift and fast. She's been shown to do that whole here-one-moment-behind-you-the-next. She's also been shown to dodge bullets. Even with her boobs. No kidding.
+Great balance. She can stand in heels on a Humvee going 50+mph without worry for falling off. She can run and kick ass in heals.
+Leader. She can lead the team to safety.
+She's intelligent. Not the smartest of the group, but she's street-smart and can do her fair share of detective work.
+DESPITE THE ABOVE she is still human. If you cut her she bleeds. If you put her under water she can't breathe. No super powers here. It's probably because she realizes that she's so very human that she's trained herself to be quick at dodging and to be strong.

[Are you bringing in a canon element?] The zombie infecti--- KIDDING. She'll take the Takashi's motorcycle from canon. Even if she doesn't know how to drive it.

[Other important stuff] Since she's pretty much from an ecchi canon, I'm going to put an opt-out post if people don't want to interact with her. Fan-service is strictly a canon mechanic. I'm not going to write that into the tags unless it's satire. Otherwise it's just gross.

[First Person]
I understand that this place has been in ruins for a few months. And that it has been without as many people.

[ Her expression softens. ] It is rather peaceful like that. Although they have left or... disappeared like some say here, at the very least they have not left their corpses behind. Ah-- pardon me. That must be an odd thing to say. [ Off screen, her hand tightens upon the hilt of her katana. ] It is simply that in my world that is the most important part.

[ A pause. ]

Since I am new here and know not where to find supplies, I humbly ask for assistance. [ She could easily, easily go off and find what she needs to on her own, but she knows as much as any that staying alone is not helpful when survival is a priority. ] In return, I offer protection through my sword. Additionally, if anyone is in need of assistance, I am available to help.

Thank you for your time. [ After bowing, she cuts out. ]

[Third Person]

Cold water steadily drips from the ceiling of an abandoned warehouse, forming a puddle just in front of Saeko. She kneels in the center of empty room, eyes closed. She's concentrating, she's meditating, she's honing her senses with each controlled inhale and exhale. She listens, she hears-- the drip, drop, drip, drip of the water falling, the gentle flakes of snow settling on the steel plating of the roof just outside, and each scarce echo all of these sounds make. It's creating a symphony only she can hear. Through sound alone, it paints a picture clearer than if she could see while opening her eyes.

One drop. Alice.

Two drops. Saya.

Three drops. Ritsuka.

Four drops. Kohta.

Five drops. Shizuka.

Six drops. Takashi.

Seven drops. Them.

That seventh drop doesn't hit the ground. She swings her sword, the blade singing in the air, and slices through that droplet, once, twice, three times, and then more. And more. She smiles. And more. And more. Until no one would be able see any glimmer of water from it being cut, until she can't even hear sound be distorted by that water. That single drop is, perhaps, no more vapor now.

Eight drops.

She sheathes the sword and stands. Enough, she has proven enough for today. Her friends and comrades are those that she knows she will never act against, that she will hold her sword. It is always Them that she must fight, that she will only draw her sword to cleave. She will gladly do so, too.

[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] Because I feel like another muse is dying and I need a replacement!!
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] No info-modding b/c that ruins the fun of having the characters figure everything out.
[Where did you hear about Somarium?] I play here.
[Any questions?] Nope.
